There is no tawheed left on this earth. There are no symbols of tawheed left on this earth. An Ethiopian king has destroyed the Ka’ba, brick by brick. Madinah has run out of believers. A breeze has been sent, taking away the souls of all the Muslim believers. Only disbelievers and devils remain on earth. The world is cursed and no mercy will be received from Allah on the Day of Judgement by these people. The final sign of the Day of Judgement comes, a fire, that gathers the people.

Israfeel blows the trumpet for the first time, signalling the world is to come to an end. Jibraeel (AS), Mikaeel, the Angel of Death and Israfeel all die. The world is destroyed by Allah. Every creature on earth and in the sky will die, except certain creatures in certain areas whom Allah wishes to keep alive (the scholars say these are creatures created in Jannah, with Jannah, and thus do not perish).

Allah is all that is left. He (SWT) was the beginning, and He (SWT) is the end, the Eternal One. This world and this sky is exchanged for a new world and a new sky, and in the hadith of the Prophet (SAW), this new world is flat, with no hills or valleys, and white in colour, expanded, to fit the entire mankind.

Our bodies are dead, our souls remain living. Only Allah knows how long we will remain in this dead state for. Allah will be angry, in a state of anger He (SWT) has never been in before. Allah will recreate the earth and skies in this new form, and on that Day when we are raised, we will see things we could not see on this earth. The state of our body and soul will be different on that Day to how it is on this present earth. Here, we sleep and our soul departs, we have a temporary attachment to our soul. On the Day of Judgement, we have a permanent attachment to our soul. On that Day, our emotions will be heightened, and all our senses, pain and fear will be multiplied.

Israfeel will be recreated, and he will blow the trumpet for a second time, signalling the beginning of the Resurrection. We will be informed of everything we have done on earth.

Aisha (RA) asked the Prophet (SAW) how mankind will be gathered on that Day, to which he (SAW) replied “Barefoot and naked, the same way our mothers gave birth to us”. Aisha (RA) said “Naked? Everyone looking at one another, with no concealment?” The Prophet (SAW) replied “Yes, the situation will be so frightening that no one will have time to look at anyone else”.

The first call begins, “This is the Day of Resurrection!” Every grave will split open and “You will see them rising from their graves”. Ibn Masud (RA) stated “Everyone will be gathered, hungrier and thirstier than ever before” and Allah will feed and give water to those whom He wills.

Mu’adh (RA) asked the Prophet (SAW) how the people will be raised, and he (SAW) began to cry, and said they will be raised in ten ways:

  • 1) as monkeys – these were the people who would gossip and spread lies about the people
  • 2) as pigs – these are the apostates or those who committed major sins and consumed haraam
  • 3) dragged on their faces – these are the people who consumed riba (interest) when there was no need
  • 4) blind – these are the people who would misjudge others and wrongly accuse them
  • 5) deaf and dumb – these are the people who would show off their good deeds to the people
  • 6) tongue dragging on chest, drooling pus – these are the people who knew what was halaal and intentionally did haraam and did not repent
  • 7) with arms and legs cut off – these are the people who harmed their neighbours
  • 8) crucified on pillars from Hell – these are the people who sought special treatment from those in authority through lies
  • 9) smelling horrific – these are the people who followed their desires
  • 10) wearing clothes of heat – these are the people who showed pride in their appearance in order to make the poor people feel worse

and these are people from among the Prophet (SAW)’s Ummah… The people will be gathered in various groups, walking on their legs, and some riding on a vehicle of Jannah, not needing to stand, and these are the believers. The disbelievers will be gathered on their face.

Muhammad (SAW) will be the first person to be raised, followed by the other Prophets, followed by others in order of their good deeds. This is so the best of creation, in order, can be gathered in the front rows, under the shade of Allah. The disbelievers will be raised last, at the back, with no shade. The munafiqeen (hypocrites) will be close to the believers, seeing the believers, but not being given those blessings, an added torment for their hypocrisy.

Prophet Ibrahim (AS) will be the first to be clothed on that Day, followed almost simultaneously by Muhammad (SAW).

We will be gathered with those who we imitated and loved, and those who we wanted to be like and emulate. We will be raised in the state we died in in this world, the alcoholic with signs of alcoholism, the one who extended his sujood, in a state of sujood. Anyone who consumed haraam on this earth will be resurrected with that haraam, choking on it.

People will be called out individually, “O ‘so and so’, son of ‘so and so'”, “come to bliss/come to torture”. There will be a specific call to the believers, and Allah will ask “O people of Heaven, I am pleased with you, are you pleased with me?”

The believers will not be scared or terrified on this Day. Angels will hug them, comforting them. The believers will have nur (light) around them and in their faces.

Disbelievers will be surrounded by darkness, and will cry until their tears run out, after which they will cry tears of blood, calling out for a second chance from Allah. The disbelievers will then begin to argue with each other, and will blame their qareen, jinn, who would whisper to them. The qareen will say “O my Lord, I did not cause him to disbelieve, he was so far astray that he listened to me, I just invited him and he responded”. The disbelievers will meet those who they oppressed and victimised, and they will be exposed.

People will sweat according to their bad deeds, and the Prophet (SAW) said “Some of them, the sweat will silence them”, meaning they will sweat so much that it reaches their lips, and they swallow it. The sun will be brought closer, and the sweat will be boiling. The disbelievers will try to run away, and will have nowhere to run to.

The people will then go to the Prophets, seeking intercession for the Judgement to begin. They will first go to Adam (AS) who will send them away, saying he (AS) sinned and is not fit for this job, and the people will then go to Nuh (AS) and then Ibrahim (AS) and then Musa (AS) and then Isa (AS), all of whom will send them away saying they are not suitable for this job. The people will then go to Muhammad (SAW) and he (SAW) will intercede for his Ummah. Those who came before him (SAW) will gather behind their Messenger/Prophet, and the disbelievers will be forced to gather around their idols or people they used to worship.

The Prophet (SAW) will make a lengthy sujood, and praise Allah in a way that He (SWT) has never been praised before, asking for the Judgement to begin, and the followers of the Sunnah will also prostrate behind the Prophet (SAW). The hypocrites and disbelievers will not be able to join in this sujood.

On that Day, Allah will descend, in a manner befitting His Majesty, and in a way only He Knows how. Eight huge angels will carry the Throne of Allah, and He (SWT) will rise above the Throne, and tell the Prophet (SAW) to raise his head and intercede. The Prophet (SAW) will say “O Allah, save my nation”. This intercession will take place at the ‘hawd’, the fountain, ‘al Kauthar’ as mentioned in the Qur’an. He (SAW) will call his followers to drink from this fountain, after which the believers will never be thirsty again. The drink will be coloured like milk, sweeter than honey, and drunk from cups of gold and silver. Some will drink from the hands of the Prophet (SAW).

Abu Hurairah (RA) asked the Prophet (SAW) how he will recognise his Ummah who he (SAW) has never met, to which the Prophet (SAW) informed Abu Hurairah of the nur the believers will have on the Day of Judgement, on the areas over which they used to make wudu (ablution).

The people will then receive their Book of Deeds. The believers will receive their book in their right hand. The disbelievers in their left hand, and some behind their back. The scholars understand this to mean that some of the disbelievers will see the other disbelievers receiving their book in their left hand, so will hide their left hand behind their back, but they will be given their book behind their back.

The earth and the skies will be folded, and regarding this, Aisha (RA) asked the Prophet (SAW) “Where will we be? Will we be folded in the earth and skies?” He (SAW) replied “We will be in a darkness, on a bridge above the Hellfire, the siraat”. Some of the light of Allah will light up the world for the believers as they cross the bridge over the Hellfire, to Jannah, and we ask Allah to make us from those who cross the siraat and enter Jannat al-Firdaus, aameen.
